HOSPITAL SALARIES

You asked for the top 10 salaries of Presidents/Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) at Connecticut hospitals. (You also asked for endowment information at each hospital. We are trying to obtain this; when it becomes available we will write another report. )

The highest paid positions in the various Connecticut hospitals are not necessarily the President/CEO. In a number of cases, a physician or other medical position is the highest paid. Table 1 presents the top 10 salaries of Presidents/CEOs for FY l997-98, as reported to the Office of Health Care Access (OHCA). Table 2 presents the highest paid position for each hospital in the state. (FY 1997-98 represents the latest complete data. )
